Ashley appreciated the compassionate care and personalized attention, calling her experience with Dr. Vickers exceptional.
Ashley: Hi, my name is Ashley and I came to Texas Center for a wisdom teeth removal of four of my teeth. My wisdom teeth had like hooks, and it is because he said my jaw was forming up here. My wisdom teeth were literally hooking to avoid my jawline. And so, they booked my surgery. The day of the surgery comes, and I am nervous but literally, Dr. Vickers comes in. He reassures me. He says, “You are going to be great. Whatever happens, good or bad. We are going to fix it. We are going to get you right. We are going to get you settled, and it is going to be a great recovery process.
Dr. Vickers: When Ashley came to see me. She came in with a very common wisdom tooth, complained that the teeth are trying to erupt. They are coming partially through the gums, but they can’t seem to get all the way in, and she is having gum pain and things of that nature. When we evaluated her x-ray. It was clear that she has significant curve of the roots on the lower wisdom teeth. And that there was not enough space for her wisdom teeth. Ultimately, the plan was to remove those wisdom teeth. That is what we brought it in to do.
Ashlyn: When I go home after the surgery. I noticed that my bottom left one is not plotting and that was an issue. I was starting to panic just because I am at home. I should be… Dr. Vickers reassured me that there shouldn’t be much bleeding, and there was, so I was like, “I think we need to go back.” My mom calls back and is like, “Hey, can we come in?” I actually come in right now, and we get inside. He literally puts me on the table, and he goes, we are going to fix this right now. He was just like, “We got you. If you pass out, we got you.”
I could hear him, and I heard all the nurses around me. There was no freak out moments for them there. It didn’t feel like it was a big panic situation, even though it was, I felt still safe and as comfortable as I could be in that situation of the scary part of it. He said that my case was a one in, like every three years, experience for him. He said, that was quite exciting, but he said, he enjoyed working with me and I definitely enjoyed working with Dr. Vickers.
I felt still safe and as comfortable as I could be in that situation of the scary part of it.
